| PAC is pleased and proud that the Strengthening
Multi-Ethnic Families and Communities Program (SMEFC)
has impacted so many people around the world, and that
parents everywhere are benefiting from participiating
in this Strength-Based Prevention-Intervention Program
that utilizes a cultural framework to assist parents
in raising children to lead violence free, healthy lifestyles.
You will notice very quickly that we are crawling,
but hope to be standing and walking soon. Although
much of the site is under construction, we have the
structure in place to provide program information and
technical support, while also celebrating and acknowldging
the commitment made by organizations, administrators,
and facilitators.
We have focused on the Research
Section, as the current
climate demands that organizations choose programs that
are evidenced-based. We believe
the information documented in Program Evaluations, Qualitative
Perspectives, Project Reports and Published Articles
provides substantial evidence of SMEFC’s effectiveness.
But the power of numbers cannot match the power of people.
We have many partners that have implemented the program
for several years, some that used other programs and
have returned, and new groups enthusiastically moving
the program forward. This is all the evidence we
need to continue to focus on the vision – a
better world for all our children. |
