Special Features

The Strengthening Multi-Ethnic Families & Communities program is utilized by a variety of populations worldwide. The program is offered to teen parents, various ethnic groups, prison inmates, and drug-recovery programs to name a few. Here we like to feature examples of the success of the program with various populations.

Facilitators of the SMEFC program, for the most part, have created these articles and information. You are welcome to use any of the information found here as part of a grant application process. If your agency has articles, statistics or other publications that apply to a particular population please feel free to forward that to us. We would be happy to share it here with others.

Many people have inquired about using the parenting program with incarcerated parents. Check out the link below for information regarding working with this population.

Prison Inmates

Our National Trainer Paul Nagle-McNaughton created this presentation summarizing the use of the SMEFC program with inmates and debuted it at the 2010 U.K. Annual Conference for the Strengthening Families Strengthening Communities program (another name for the SMEFC program).
